On Palm Sunday afternoon, a group of 25 hardy walkers from the parishes of St. Mary the Virgin and Holy Cross, gathered to re-enact Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. Led by a pair of mild-mannered donkeys, the procession began at St. Mary's and made its way across the fields to Goldington Green. There were stops along the way to listen to the story of the original Palm Sunday, complete with audience participation and palm waving! After singing a Palm Sunday themed song, the procession made its way to Holy Cross for refreshments. After a short rain shower which did not dampen our spirits, the tea, coffee and delicious scones and cakes on offer were very welcome.
