Making Funeral Plans and Arrangements

Planning for the future

We are all encouraged to plan for the future, especially in our later years. The law provides the tools to make financial and health care arrangements by signing a "Lasting Power of Attorney". Putting your trust in family, friends and professionals can ease your mind and there is much available in the way of guidance.

Guidance and resources

You will be pleased to know there is also some guidance available when thinking about your funeral arrangements. Two PDF booklets from our Diocese can be downloaded using the buttons below. Hopefully that is another burden eased. The Bishops of England and Wales liturgical website is also very useful in providing suggested scripture readings for funerals.
