Hospital Chaplaincy

In these very difficult times, as we all know; we are finding a lot more people admitted to hospital as a result of COVID-19. Or sadly admitted for another reason and then contracting COVID.

If you know of Catholic families who have family members in hospital with COVID or with another illness, the first point of contact for the chaplaincy team in Bedford hospital to enter / arrange spiritual support for Catholics, where allowed to do so, is Reverend Deacon Tony Quinlan, telephone: 01234 950453.

Bedford South Wing has stopped anyone from routinely visiting, unless at the point of end of life, and under certain conditions.

The Catholic Hospital Chaplain frequently attends at the moment of end of life to meet families to offer bereavement and spiritual support.

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people, victims of domestic abuse and vulnerable adults. Details of our safeguarding policy can be found here.
