Sharing Faith, Giving Life
The Pope’s official charity for overseas mission

Each diocese has a ‘Diocesan Director’. They are appointed by the local bishop to coordinate its support of the overseas mission of the Church.

Fr Wayne has been appointed as the Diocesan Director for Missio, covering APF (Association for the Propagation of the Faith) and SPA (Society of St Peter the Apostle).

The aim of Missio is to bring the hope of the Gospel where there is turmoil, poverty and uncertainty in the world, and where the Church is new, young or poor.  Missio empowers local people to form and sustain communities of Faith; it thus trains and nurtures future leaders so that the vital work of the Church in the world can take place.

Fr Wayne speaks about Mission Together – the children’s branch of Missio

Father Wayne came to visit us to talk about Mission Together, which is a charity that has been working in Catholic schools and parishes worldwide since 1843, encouraging children to pray, fundraise and become missionaries themselves – children helping children… We raised £140 for this charity. We are committed to safeguarding children, young people, victims of domestic abuse and vulnerable adults. Details of our safeguarding policy can be found here.
