The Bible Study Group has been meeting since 1984.  Over the years, members have come and gone, but our numbers tend to be quite stable at between 6 and 10.  Currently there are 9 of us but we would welcome any newcomers.

We meet in each other’s houses, so that no one person is “in charge”, and the host for the evening provides tea, coffee and biscuits.

In the early days we used a Guide Book called “How to start a small Bible Study group” and we simply followed the suggestions in this very helpful little book. We have kept the same basic format throughout the years, and this has worked very well. We choose a theme and read around that subject, often with the help of Study Books bought from Christian bookshops.  We make use of questions that encourage open and frank discussions, with no “right” or “wrong” answer, and we value open discussion and sharing of ideas and experiences.

We meet at 8pm on a Wednesday evening.  If anyone is interested in joining our group or would like help to set up their own group, please contact us via the Contact Form.

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people, victims of domestic abuse and vulnerable adults. Details of our safeguarding policy can be found here.
